WHO: Everyone!
WHAT: Traveling to Aquacorde, and then Pokemon Catching 101!
WHEN: August 28th
WHERE: Vaniville, Route 1 and eventually Aquacorde!
Well, after that strange introduction from Professor Sycamore, and all the introductions being out of the way, the Aides pull out some Pokeballs and continue with their explanation.
"All Pokemon come from these Pokeballs. We are going to teach you how to catch a Pokemon, so that you may use this knowledge. Not all of you have to become Trainers. There are Pokemon Breeders, and all sorts of things you can do here. We will be taking all of you to Route 2, just past Aquacorde Town, on some larger Pokemon that you can ride so that we may get there faster. It will be a one hour ride."
The Aides tossed their Pokeballs, and multiple Pokemon appeared - including a large orange and black dog, a large fiery horse and a giant rocky triceratops-looking thing.
"Please do not be afraid, they will not harm you. Hop aboard, and let us get on towards Aquacorde!"

Absorb Fire: good for dealing with pyromaniacs.
"Well, the short answer is that the Pokeballs maintain an extradimensional space inside themselves, and the long answer is...quite a bit longer."
...she is remarkably blasé about glowing blue and sucking fire into her skin, isn't she?
no subject
"... Extradimensional space." Nope, still not understanding this nonsense. But he's just going to calmly shrug it off before scooping up Jouri and letting her chew on his sleeve.
"Has anyone ever told you none of this makes sense and who the hell thought this was a good idea to give anyone creatures that can do, well, that?"
no subject
"There are wild Pokemon that don't like humans - if we didn't cooperate with Pokemon, we wouldn't have a civilization at all."
no subject
"So basically these things are the animals of this world? I suppose it makes enough sense to that extreme."
no subject
Kotoha grins.
"It is kind of incredible what they can achieve even without working together with Pokemon, though!"
no subject
"Kankuro, but the way." He managed to get out in a semi-friendly tone despite still being annoyed with this place existing, though very apparently not offering her a hand. Best not to do that where he's from.
"So why do you fight with them? I mean, why not leave 'em be? What kind of stuff can they actually do other than set stuff on fire?"
no subject
"Well, you know - it's easier to understand a person when you battle against them, right? And as for what they can do...a lot of it depends on the Pokemon! At the highest levels, there are Legendary Pokemon - Sinnoh is famous for having the three dragon-gods of Time, Space, and Antimatter, for example."
...dragon-gods.
no subject
Well.
They did have a god beast thing kind of, so it's not that weird.
"Dragon-gods. That's a new one." The bijuu are just as weird, but they're more than just dragons at least. Either way he looks down at Jōruri with a light bit of a grin, thinking about the battling part.
"If you don't mind teachin' along the way, it sounds like it'd be interesting. Fighting like this isn't my usual. Puppetry is more my thing."
no subject
"Sounds good to me! What kind of puppets do you use?"
no subject
"I use a few different ones. The main ones I have have weapons in them and one even uses a type of poison gas. But you can use actual human bodies temporarily if you need to, as well."
no subject
"Yeah, uh...probably not a good idea to use human bodies here, just a head's-up."
Slight pause.
"Also, you might want to look into getting a Butterfree or a Vivillon? Since you're rocking the ninja look and all."
no subject
Excuse him a moment, he's just going to stare at her some more at this 'ninja look' thing. "It's not a look. I am a shinobi, pretty much born and bred to be one, after all." Which is why this fighting with animals thing kind of bothers him, he'd rather do his own fighting unlike certain people he knows.
no subject
"Cool! Also, yeah, you'll definitely want a Vivillon, then - historically, a lot of ninjas trained the three-stage Bug-types just so they could harvest their powders."
no subject
"Vivillon, huh? What kind of powders do they have? I assume poison, but what else do we have?" And, you know, if she could point out one to him when they came across one.

no subject
"Rage as in making something actually rage? These sound more interesting that I would think of bugs."
no subject
A slight pause to indicate something about as tall as Kotoha herself and with a matching wingspan.
"He's about this big, six wings, looks like a big fluffy moth."
no subject
Okay, sure, you're crazy, girl.
"Huuuuh. I guess I ought to try and get some then, right? Might as well have something to keep me safe while I make some new puppets. Maybe something to help me quickly carve up and take down some trees?"
no subject
"I...might be able to help you with that? I kind of have a limited power over nature, so at the very least I can make sure you don't cut down a tree you shouldn't."
no subject
What.
"Run that by me again? I think I misheard you when you said something about power of nature?"
no subject
Entirely serious as she says this.
no subject
"Mind showing me?"
no subject
Kotoha takes a moment to look around before facing the river off to the side and pointing at the bank.
"Gaia: Branch Arrow!"
There's no flashy lights or outward indications of the power she just invoked, but as soon as she says the words a barrage of pointed tree branches lance down from overhead, forming a straight line as they thud into the loose soil of the riverbank.
no subject
Just a moment.
Mind rebooting...
....
Yeah, okay, he's got nothing to say to this other than to stare with his mouth agape. He's seen this kind of stuff before but this girl isn't a shinobi and she's not someone who'd be one even if she did try to pull that.
There are no words.
no subject
Kotoha loves That Look.
She'll just wait for his brain to reboot.
