WHO: Kotoha & Kankuro
WHAT: Kotoha and Kankuro combine sparring and performance art.
WHEN: November 11th
WHERE: Lumiose City

Kotoha never thought it would happen so soon, but here she is - Lumiose City, center of art and culture for all of Kalos. The City of Lights! She'd spent her childhood dreaming of visiting here and seeing the sights!

So of course she arrives during the dead season, when none of the ballet companies are performing, and ending up bored out of her mind. Since the best cure for boredom is action, she's devised a Cunning Plan and roped her traveling partner, Kankuro, into helping her out.

He required very little convincing.

Right now, Kotoha and Kasumi are in a largish plaza near the Pokemon Center, marking out an arena - just the standard sort of circle used to denote an upcoming battle and the minimum safe distance. As the circle is finished and the two move into battle positions, something odd happens: Kotoha moves into the traditional section for the Pokemon, while the Froakie is in place for the Trainer. And then the Froakie starts talking.

"All right, Kotoha! Show 'em the results of our training!"

Kotoha grins, taking up a battle stance with her staff at the ready.

"Koto, kotoha!"

Sure, it was easy enough for him to be roped into doing something while he was absolutely bored out of his mind. Particularly given that this whole ridiculous thing would cause some sort of stir, which was exactly what he wanted.

A grin crossed his lips as he moved into the circle, using the invisible to the naked eye strings to get Joruri's lips to move in time with him throwing his voice to a higher octave to convince the masses of what he was doing.

"Kankuro's gonna be tough to beat, you know!" Joruri seemingly says before Kankuro removes the strings, readying his hands to try some hand-to-hand for the first time in forever.

"Ro~" He gets out without laughing, knowing that performance is the most important part of this.
